Joshua Olvera

Joshua Olvera, age 39, passed away on Monday, September 05, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Also known as DJ Sabes Qué, Joshua had a passion for making music, and was known for willingly DJing any genre of music. After working for years in construction, Joshua also worked well over a decade with VIA as a driver who brought smiles to people’s faces every day. His experience in construction provided great handyman skills which he expressed at home and while doing odd jobs for family and friends. Joshua always talked about the importance of living each day as if it were the last. He was known for being the life of the party and a thoughtful person who was very considerate of others. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents as well as his beloved bulldog, Fat Girl Olvera. Joshua is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine G. Olvera of San Antonio, TX.; parents, John Olvera, Jr. and Pearl C. Olvera; brothers, John Olvera III (Rosalie) and Jason Olvera (Rubie); sister, Jena Blancard; nephews and nieces, John Olvera IV, Jake Olvera, Ezralie Olvera, Mark Pena, Madelynn Olvera, Jaylynn Olvera, Jason Olvera Jr., Oliver Blancard, Liliana Adams; and great-niece, Adelina Torres. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15th, 2022, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
