Joy R. Brown, age 80, of San Antonio, died Sunday, October 27, 2002. She attended U.T. at Austin and graduated from Incarnate Word University. Mrs. Brown had been an English Teacher at Jefferson High School before retiring. She was a member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church all of her life. Mrs. Brown was also a member of AARP, and President of the Alpha Delta Pi Alums. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harold N. Brown. Survivors: daughter, Gay Baker, Springfield, VA; sister, Elaine Donaldson and husband, Don; niece, Linda Moore and husband, Gary, all of San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Therapy and Research Center, the Laurel Height United Methodist Church or charity of choice
