Joyce R. Earley

Born in Columbia, Mississippi, on December 6, 1931, she traveled with her parents to various parts of the country during her childhood, finally settling in Bayview, Texas. She graduated from Los Fresnos High School in 1951.

Joyce was intelligent, creative, and passionate about sharing her Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 60 years Lee Earley, as well as her parents, Mollie and Dewitt Raybourn, her sister, Agnes Raybourn Williamson, and her brother, O.D. Raybourn.

She is survived by her children Gene Earley and wife Marsha of Austin, TX; Vonnie Earley Eidson and husband Ed of Grovetown, GA; and Darcy Earley Vera and husband Carlos of San Antonio, TX.

Also surviving are her grandchildren Miranda Goins Hart, Adam Earley and wife Amy S., Amy M. Earley, Mollie Eidson Holmes and husband David, Trey Eidson, Logan Eidson, Matthew Vera and wife Natalie, Michael Vera and wife Clarissa, Keegan Talbert and wife Gaby, and Kallan Talbert; and great-grandchildren Averie Andrews Tejada and husband Seaman 1st Class Eric, Jazz Lewis, Mason Hart, Amelia Hart, Kylee Romero, Jackson Earley, Marlow Earley, Colten Lee Holmes, Thatcher Holmes, Eliza June Holmes, Iris Rue Holmes, Silas Holmes, Desmond Vera, Eliza Jane Vera, and William Leroy Talbert; and great-great grandchildren Aviana Tejada and Dayton Tejada.

A celebration of life for Joyce will be held Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. Interment will be at Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, TX.
