Joyce Braendle Friesenhahn passed away on November 22, 2011 at the age of 86. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 6, 1925 to Gus and Annie Braendle. On November 2, 1942 she married Rudolph Frank (Zuke) Zuelecke, Jr. They had one son, Charles. On November 10, 1943, Zuke was killed in an accident. On November 11, 1945 she married Elmo John Friesenhahn. They had two children, John and Rebecca, who died in infancy. Joyce spent most of her adult life in Dimmit County as a rancher’s wife. She loved that life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and her son Charles. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lillie Brauchle, Aline O’Connor, and Florence Friesenhahn, and her brothers George Braendle, Roy Braendle, and Gus (Buster) Braendle. She is survived by her grandson Dustin Friesenhahn, great-grandson Dylan Friesenhahn, and sister Ada (Shorty) Davenport. The visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. The interment will follow in the Evers Family Cemetery.
