

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Ray, her parents, James Henry Beshears , Annie D. Beshears-Banning, and Step-Father, John Banning and her sister, Dorothy Stone.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, DeDe and Jesse Salcedo; daughter, Chantell and Craig Harris; son, James Harness; son, Tom and Monica Harness; grandchildren, Joseph, Jasmine and Autumn Salcedo, Priscilla Elias, Clint and Dawn Harness and Curtis Smith, Patrick and Alicia Judd; great-grandchildren, Evan, Kairi and Aurora Harness, Hartley Judd, Llewelyn Elias; Jaina Salcedo, and Natalie Salcedo-Valles. Sister, Henrietta Yaeger (Larry); brother, Lawson Beshears (Maebelle). Sister-In-Law, Judy Anderson (Paul).
Joyce worked various jobs over the years, but one of her favorites was the Manager of the Dairy Queen in Dilley, TX. She was such a social person that the job appealed to her. She graduated from beauty school but didn’t enjoy doing hair but was a very good manicurist. When they moved to San Antonio, they enjoyed their retirement together, they loved to make jam and wood working and she loved sewing spectacular Halloween costumes for her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Joyce’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She loved a family vacation, attending birthdays, graduations, recitals, she was very young at heart.
