

Joy was a faithful follower of Jesus and a shining light of His love for all people. She loved her family and friends and displayed her generous and caring heart each day.
Joy enjoyed dancing, singing, sewing, playing piano and organ, conducting genealogy research, shopping, putting puzzles together, playing games, working on the computer, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had exceptional organizational skills and excelled in the gift of hospitality. She loved the colors red and turquoise and cherished everything sparkly. She also treasured time spent with Gene, her husband of nearly 65 years, and their many friends.
She is survived by her husband Eugene, their three children; Paul (Christina) Krentz, Cindy (Michael) Newman, Tammy (Gary) Farley; Grandchildren, Hannah (James) Perez, Abby (Shane) Harryman, Jonathan (Channing) Krentz, Jordan Krentz, Jennifer Krentz, Nicholas (Mary) Farley, Kyle Farley, Katie Farley; Great-grandchildren, Harley Joy Perez, Layne Harryman and Wyatt Harryman; brother, Gary (Gisele) Triolet, and other extended family members.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service to celebrate her eternal life through Jesus will take place at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6914 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. central time.
