Joyce Carpenter Laman, age 76, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2015. She was born on December 12, 1938 in Sabinal, Texas to B.J. & Vera Carpenter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her caring husband, David Laman; children, Laura Motes & her husband Paul, Paul Laman & his wife Patricia, Tim Laman and Jill Laman; 3 grandchildren, Alan Motes, Marilee McCarter and Kirsten Laman; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Ray Carpenter & his wife Jo and James Carpenter & his wife Shauna; sister, Claire Poehler & her husband Lenard; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at MacArthur Park Church of Christ, 1907 N.E. Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78217. The Graveside Service will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Kinney County Cemetery, Brackettville, TX.
