To Joyce’s Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of my sweet friend, Joyce.
We were so close and best friends during our days at Durham. We shared some really good times together. I loved her dearly.
We had not seen each other in recent years, but I still think of her often.
I know she will be missed by many. I enjoyed watching your tribute to her. It is very well done.
I am thankful for our friendship and for the part that she played in my life.
Sending my love,

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was quite the character and I miss the ginger snaps she used to make at Christmas. Grandma Vi always loved visiting her Pennington cousins and I have great memories of when she and Max came down for a Texas tour which included a Houston trip to visit your parents (then your dad had to rescue us because my car broke down but that’s another story) love and hugs to all of you dear cousins

I was so sad and sorry to learn of the loss of your dear sweet mother. I would often stop by to say hello , but most often she was resting, and I didn't want to disturb her.
Your love and devotion to her spoke volumes - what a lucky mom. The love and pride she had for you was clear to all. She just lit up when you came on the scene. She had the most lovely and sweet countenance of anyone I've ever known. She was a woman of few words, but her joyful spirit shone through in her expressions - her bright eyes, happy smiles, blowing kisses and hugs. She will be missed.
Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
