

Juan fue un hombre que encontraba alegría en las cosas sencillas y significativas de la vida. Disfrutaba viendo fútbol y películas del oeste, y sentía una verdadera pasión por los proyectos de bricolaje y remodelación. Ya fuera trabajando con sus propias manos, haciendo una parrillada para familiares y amigos, o cultivando su amor por el estilo de vida ranchero, Juan ponía orgullo en todo lo que hacía. También le encantaba bailar y, a menudo, se le podía ver lavando y trabajando en su camioneta, un pasatiempo que le brindaba tanto relajación como satisfacción.
Le precedió en la muerte su padre, Jorge Barboza.
A Juan le sobreviven su amada esposa, Silvia Cortés; sus hijos, Lisbeth Barboza, Marco Barboza y Jonathan Barboza; su madre, Catalina Hernández; y sus hermanos, Ernesto Barboza y Jorge Barboza Jr., así como numerosos familiares y amigos que atesorarán su recuerdo.
Juan será recordado por su espíritu trabajador, su amor por su familia y la alegría que brindaba a quienes lo rodeaban. Su presencia será profundamente extrañada, pero permanecerá por siempre en los corazones de aquellos que lo conocieron y amaron.
Se llevará a cabo un velorio el jueves 30 de abril de 2026, comenzando a las 5:00 p. m., con el rezo del Rosario a las 7:00 p. m.; el velorio continuará hasta el viernes 1 de mayo de 2026 en la Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, ubicada en 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. El viernes 1 de mayo de 2026, se celebrará un servicio en la capilla a las 12:00 p. m. en la Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, seguido del sepelio en Mission Burial Park South, 1700 S.E. Military Dr., San Antonio, TX 78214.
Juan Alberto Barboza Hernandez passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 54. He was born on May 8, 1971, in Monterrey, Mexico.
Juan was a man who found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He enjoyed watching soccer and western movies, and he had a true passion for do-it-yourself and remodeling projects. Whether he was working with his hands, grilling for family and friends, or embracing his love for the ranch lifestyle, Juan took pride in everything he did. He also loved to dance and could often be found washing and working on his truck, a pastime that brought him both relaxation and satisfaction.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jorge Barboza.
Juan is survived by his loving wife, Silvia Cortes; his children, Lisbeth Barboza, Marco Barboza, and Jonathan Barboza; his mother, Catalina Hernandez; and his brothers, Ernesto Barboza and Jorge Barboza Jr., as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Juan will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed but forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
There will be a Visitation on Thursday, April 30, 2026 beginning at 5:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm, Visitation continues until Friday, May 1, 2026 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. On Friday, May 1, 2026, Chapel Service will be held at 12:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, followed by burial at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 S.E. Military Dr., San Antonio, Tx 78214.
