Juan De La Cruz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan De La Cruz who departed this life on October 12, 2024. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born on July 6, 1939, Juan dedicated his life to his faith, his family, and his country.

A proud retired Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force, Juan served 20 years with distinction, earning honors including the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal. His commitment to duty and country exemplified integrity, service, and unwavering dedication.

Following his military career, Juan continued to serve his community as a devoted employee of the Postal Service, earning 25 Years Service Award and Special Achievement Award.

A devoted man of faith, Juan loved the Lord deeply and shared his faith with those around him. He was married for 62 wonderful years to Mildred Sue De La Cruz, who was not only his partner but also his greatest friend. Together, they built a beautiful family, filled with love and laughter.

Juan is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred Sue De La Cruz; his children, Denise Phelps (Russell), Teresa Ruiz (Joseph), John De La Cruz (Teresa), David De La Cruz (Laramie); his grandchildren, Joshua Phelps (Kelly), Jordan Phelps, Danielle Phelps, Joseph Ruiz (Victoria), Mariah Blagburn (Ryan), Zachary Ruiz, John De La Cruz (Natasha), Jessica De La Cruz, Stephen De La Cruz; Caleb De La Cruz (Marina), Ayden De La Cruz and his great-grandchildren, Genevieve Rivera, Aurora Phelps, Savannah Ruiz, Liam Ruiz, Elijah Blagburn, Ezekiel Blagburn, Magnus Blagburn, Olivia De La Cruz and soon to arrive Juniper De La Cruz. He was preceded in death by his by parents, Antonio De La Cruz and Mercedes Ugarte De La Cruz.
