I remember visiting him at his ranch and having half a lemon to dip in sugar as a treat to beat the heat. My brothers and sisters enjoyed trips out there as well.  He was a wonderful Great Uncle.

I remember a couple of trips to his Ranch when I was little. I remember a horse, and an oil pump being on the property. I remember we would dare each other to touch the electric fence that kept the horse penned in. He was a kind man from what I recall. I wish I had gotten to know him better.

I remember that trip as well and it was a huge hog and yes we were scared of it the pig we took out there was a black and white pig and my dad thinks it had escaped from the slaughter house that was close to our house I remember every one chasing it all over the block and when we finally caught it my dad used his belt to make a leash then they decided to take it out to uncle Juans farm I wish over the years we had spent more time out there but I will say those hogs were huge the size of a cow lol 

you will be missed Uncle Juan I hope you are holding your sister in your arms in heaven give her a hugs from us we will miss you both forever

One memory that I can always recall is when I was a child of 4 or 5 years of age, going to visit Uncle Juan at his Ranch to deliver a pig we had acquired earlier in the year.  I remember walking up the trail that lead to the pens and seeing the biggest 'Hog' I have ever seen in my young life,  Forget the fact that it was my first 'hog' I had ever seen, but that 'hog' was as big as a Volkswagen Van.  (It may have been that at that age everything was huge but from what I recall that 'Hog' was huge)... 

Sure I had seen piglets and pigs before but I was in awe over that hog.  I remember Uncle Juan joking that he could put a saddle on it and we could ride her if we wanted too...(I'm sure he was joking)
 I stood 5 feet away shaking my head 'no'.  No matter how in-awe I was over that huge hog he nor my parents or siblings could convince me of getting near that hog.  I wasn't about to get that close...  

You will be missed Uncle Juan but the memories that we have will always keep you close to our hearts...
