

Juan “John” P. Casanova, age 64, left to be with our Lord on November 6, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 8, 1957, to Pablo and Juana Flores Casanova. John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Diana Casanova; sons, Troy Casanova and wife Natalie, Jake Reyna-Casanova and husband Roger; grandchildren, Trevor Casanova, Troy Casanova Jr., Aiden Casanova, and Allison Casanova; mother Juana Flores Casanova; sisters, Alma Bocanegra and husband Albert, Ilda Casanova; brother, José Casanova and wife Lupita; and his many nieces and nephews.
John had a passion for helping others and has met many different people throughout his career and left a memorable impact on each of them. He is remembered for his kind, friendly, and positive character. He had an interest in construction, being active, traveling (to Vegas), watching his grandkids play sports, and always bringing his family together. He was also passionate about ensuring his children and grandchildren receive a great education and regularly mentioned, "Your education is the one thing that no one can ever take away from you."
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 8:00 A.M. for an 8:30 A.M. mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Road, San Antonio, Texas 78251. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian, 11624 Culebra Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78253.
