

Juan Melchor Villa Rendon Sr, 76, entered into the loving arms of Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by loved ones on May 16, 2025. Born on March 20, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, Juan was the son of Maria Villa and Melchor Gonzalez Rendon. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He spent over 40 years owning his own Janitorial Services business, “J. Rendon Janitorial Service.” Juan was a man of integrity who poured his heart, sweat and tears into his work, with his work ethic second to none.
In his youth, Juan was a talented athlete who had a passion for Baseball & Boxing. Juan played with Saint Stephen’s Church CYO, Farmers League and spent many years as a Pitcher. In the Spanish-American Baseball League. He was a 1966 City Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. Along with his passions, Juan had a love for Classic cars, fixing things, Bar-b-que, Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and the St. Louis Cardinals. When going out to eat with his family and his sisters, his favorite foods were pan dulce, tacos and enchiladas. You also couldn’t keep him from getting a good cup of coffee every morning. Family events and Holidays were never dull when he was around because he was the life of the party. He loved making his family and childhood friends smile with his dancing and jokes. Juan knew his home town of San Antonio like the back of his hand, and conversation with him were always eventful as he loved to reminisce about the places he grew up and the crazy antics he would get into. Juan could make friends with anyone, no matter their background, and you would be his best friend the moment he’d say “Hi”!
Being a devoted man of God and spending time with his Family and pets (Petey, Daisy, Cierno, Lambchop, Mitzy), were the two main priorities in Juan’s life.
Most importantly, Juan’s true legacy will be remembered for his character, which includes his humor, kindness, unwavering integrity, generosity and love for his family. His laughter and stories were gifts to everyone who knew him. He was full of love and had a heart of gold; providing unconditional love and support to his family. Juan was always accepting and never judged anyone, while showing selfless compassion. As a trustworthy father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Juan lent an ear to those around him, with an unbreakable smile. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
Juan was preceded in death by, his Parents, Maria Villa and Melchor Gonzalez Rendon, his daughter, Andrea Rendon, and his sisters, Rachel Rodriguez, Lilly Behring and Amparo Neira. He is survived by his beloved wife, Isabel Mendez Rendon, his seven children, Maria Rendon, Rosie Chavez, Lisa Rendon McClure, Michelle Rendon Kendall, Amanda Rendon, John (Christine) Rendon, and Rebecca Rendon Reynolds - along with twenty-eight grandchildren: Ariel McClure, Abram Cantu, Alyssa Cantu, Carlton Fred Kendall, II, Grant Levorgia Kendall, Chloe Amara Kendall, Grace Olivia Kendall, Dylan Rubio, Raenah Rubio, Brandylin Rendon, John Christian Rendon, Taylor Cavazos, Alyson Reynolds, Mattison Reynolds, Emma Reynolds, Fernando Lozano, Nicholas Lozano, Katherine Lozano, Abel (Ashley) Arellano, Sarah (Vlad) Senchykov, Crystal Morrison, Debbie (DJ) Watkins, Audrey (Robert) Hasslocher, Marcia Chavez, Roxanne Araujo, Fathom Rendon, Maximus Rendon, Marcos (Ariannah) Araujo and twenty-three great-grandchildren: Emani Ramirez, Tai Lin Guerra, Madelynn, Maverick, Kenyon, Tyson, Jada, Tyron, Nayelli, Scarlett, Holly, Alex, PJ, Giovanni, Ari, Andi-Lyn, Julius, Avianna, Brailynn, Zoe, Owen, Marcellus, Mason, and his sisters, Molly Rodriguez, Linda (Diane) Rendon and baby sister Dorothy Rendon.
A visitation for Juan will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home. The Rendon family has asked for everyone to meet at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home on Monday, June 2 at 9 AM. We will be departing from Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home to St. Jude Catholic Church for a mass of the resurrection at 11:30 AM. Following the mass, an interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
