

She was a member of St. Ann's parish for 57 years and retired from Methodist Hospital after 25 years as a cashier.
Born, April 17, 1924 to Fecundo and Amalia Deanda in Eden, TX, was raised in Menard County where she attended school and married Donasiano Garcia in 1950. They relocated to San Antonio in 1952.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Don, her loving husband of 47 years; her parents, youngest sister Amy Lozano and her brother-in-law Mike D. Garcia.
She is survived by her younger brothers, Rudolfo Deanda, and Alvino Deanda both of Menard Texas, as well as two sisters, Olivia Leal (Victor), and Celia Garcia (Reynaldo) of San Antonio, her son Richard Garcia,(Patty), son Samuel Garcia, and son Louis Garcia, who brought laughter and loving care to her in the last years of her life. Grandchildren, Don Garcia (Maribel), Jessica Garcia, April Dominguez, (Ruben), Richard (RJ) Ellis, Nathan Ellis, Veronica Valadez (Librado) Vanessa Garcia, Samuel J. Garcia Jr., Stephanie Garcia, Matthew Garcia (Brittany). Great-Grandchildren, Christopher Garcia, Cristian Garcia Valadez, Serena De La Garza, Samuel J. Garcia III, Taylor Rain Dale, Matthew G. Garcia Jr. Victor A. Garcia, Ivan E. Garcia, Eliana C. Garcia, Byron A. Dominguez, Scarlett Rose Dominguez and Juliet J. Dominguez, and great-great grandchild Danica Railyn Garcia. She leaves behind a large family of nieces, nephews, a cousins and friends that were all the richer for having her in their lives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM in the Porter Loring Chapel, 1101 McCullough Ave.
On Friday, February 20th at 11:00 AM, Celebration of the Mass will be at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 210 St. Ann St. with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
