As a final act of kindness, she donated her corneas to help restore sight to someone in need.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul B. Gutierrez Jr., parents, Toribio Apolinar Sr., Antonia Rosales, son, Raul A Gutierrez III, siblings, Jessie Apolinar and Vicki Hernandez.

Juanita is survived by her children, Virginia Garcia, Anthony Gutierrez, Brother, Toby Apolinar Jr., grandchildren Kimberly Gutierrez, Nicole Garcia, Bobbie Garcia, Robyn Valdez, ToniAnn Valdez, Samantha Gutierrez, Chasity Gutierrez, Raul Gutierrez IV, Arron Gutierrez, Jasmin Gutierrez, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, on November 13, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.

Mass will be celebrated on November 14, 2025, at St. Leo the Great, 4415 S Flores Street, San Antonio, Texas 78214, beginning at 10:00 am. Services will conclude at the church.
