Juanita Lyn Moores Collins

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Juanita Lyn Moores Collins, who left us on May 26th, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on January 19th, 1946, in Dallas, Texas and was the daughter of David and Annabelle Moores.

She is survived by her sister Elise Ann Moores Suggs: four daughters Teresa Smith, Rachel Wheatman, Naomi Martin, and Sara Salzman; grandchildren Danielle Smith, Zane Smith, Drew Mendoza, Savannah Nunez, Audrey Martin, Easton Martin, Everly Martin, Julia Salzman and Tabor Salzman; niece Lesli Suggs; great-nephews Taber Ruiz, Austin Ruiz, Dallas Ruiz, and Maverick Ruiz.

She attended Southwestern University in Georgetown and later graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in health information management. She served in the United States Civil Service for over 20 years as a Registered Health Information Administrator. She enjoyed her profession and was passionate about her work.

Lyn had great love and care for her family. She was known for her beauty, strength, faith in God, and left an indelible mark on the lives of her family and friends. We will hold her in our hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at 6321 Bandera Rd. in San Antonio, Texas with the Minister Joan Ahrens officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
