

Judith Jean Blackwell, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 in San Antonio, TX. Judith was born in Evansville, IN to David W. Sexton and Eileen L. (Gleeson) Sexton. Judith was raised in the greater St. Louis, MO area and was a medical transcriber in her early years working at DePaul Hospital, St Louis, MO and Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Dr. Charles Blackwell, with whom she travelled the world and eventually settled with in San Antonio, TX. Judith was also preceded in death by both of her parents, an older sister Sharon (Sexton) Kurtak and three infant sons Michael, Donald, Jr. & Rickie. Judith is survived by her daughter, Tracy Guynn and grandchildren, D. Jordan Guynn and Tiara Guynn, who resided with Judith and helped care for her; also children Donna Blackwell (Richard Franklin), Anita Blackwell, Cheryl Blackwell, Charles Blackwell, Jr., Deborah Blackwell, David Blackwell (Linda); 13 additional grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister Catherine (Sexton) Card (Gary); three nieces and two nephews.
The family will host a memorial service in the future to celebrate her life once it is safe to congregate.
