Judith L. Boyd

Judith Lynn Langley Boyd, age 80, of San Antonio, TX passed away on July 28, 2023. Judy was born on February 13, 1943, in San Antonio, Tx to the late Eula Ora Winstead Langley and Noel Lynn Langley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Walter Ray Langley, and her husband, Joe Alton Boyd. She is survived by her sons, Joe Steven Boyd, Michael Lynn Boyd, and her grandson, Jake Dalton Boyd. She graduated Highlands High School in 1961 and married Joe Alton Boyd in 1961. She first became a mother in November 1962 and again in July 1967. She briefly attended San Antonio College and worked at the San Antonio State Hospital. She was a member of the Hot Wells Baptist Church and an avid member in the Hot Wells youth group in her younger years. She became employed by Judson ISD in 1978 as a substitute teacher before beginning her primary position at Kirby Junior High School as an attendance clerk. She retired after 25 years of faithful service. In 2006 she and her husband Joe bought a house in Castroville, Tx next door to her son Michael Boyd to be near her grandson, Jake Dalton Boyd. She assisted many years with his upbringing, care and thoroughly enjoyed being in Jake’s life. Judy loved each of her sons and grandson tremendously to her last day. She was loved by all members of her family and numerous friends. She will be missed tremendously.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary at 1101 McCullough Ave in downtown San Antonio.

Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, and she will be laid to rest with her husband Joe A Boyd. At her request there will not be a graveside service.
