Judith lived a life full of simple joys and steadfast passions. Attending Rio Bravo elementary and graduated from Shafter High where she was involved in the 4-H. Also, later when her children were in involved in the 4-H and FFA she was very hands-on. As a lover of all animals, she had livestock and pets all her life She was a devoted thriftier who found great happiness in discovering hidden treasures at thrift stores, estate sales, and weekend yard sales. For Judith, thrifting wasn’t just a hobby — it was an adventure, a treasure hunt, and often a chance to connect with others and share stories about her latest findings.
She was also a loyal and enthusiastic fan of the San Antonio Spurs, rarely missing a game and proudly cheering on her team through every season. Win or lose, her Spurs spirit never wavered.
Judith had a special fondness for peacocks, admiring their beauty and grace. Their vibrant colors and proud presence reflected much of her own spirited personality — bold, unique, and unforgettable.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kim Lindsay Larson; and her siblings, Linda Belle Gillion and brother Johnny McClellan; and half-sister, Gerri MacGillivray.
Judith is survived by her children, Kelli Burke (Robert), Scott Sherrill (Sara), and Michael Sherrill; grandchildren, Curran Sherrill (Breí), Ian Sherrill (Sierra), Seth Sherrill, and Aileen Sherrill; Great-Grandchildren, Ian, Arabelle, Bailey, Aven, Rory. Zavier, Charlie; stepdaughters, Dawna Larson and Pamela Sheppard (sons), Kyle Campbell (sons, Liam and Grayson,) Chase Frost. She also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ASPCA or the Animal Defense League of San Antonio in Judith’s honor.
Judith will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, her keen eye for a bargain, her unwavering loyalty, and the love she shared so generously with those around her.
