Judith Sauer Reeves

Judith Sauer Reeves, age 81, went to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 25, 2021. Born on October 23, 1940, in San Antonio to Raymond and Adelaide Sauer, she was a 5th generation Texan and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, where she was a proud LASSO. "Once a Lasso, always a Lasso." After high school, she attended Texas Lutheran College in Seguin Tx.

In 1961 Judy married Mills Reeves. They were married for 55 years. During the course of her marriage to Mills, she assisted and was an integral part of the familys business for those years. Judy taught elementary, middle and high school and became a permanent substitute teacher at her alma mater, Thomas Jefferson High School. Upon her retirement from teaching, she became a real estate agent before going to work for her brothers dental practice.

Judy was very creative and utilized her artistic skills in many endeavors. She was also an animal lover and provided a home to many wayward animals. Her unconditional love was evident every day with family and friends. She was "Grandma Judy" to many besides her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, C. Mills Reeves, Jr, her parents, a brother; Michael Sauer, in-laws Charles and Bette Gene Reeves, sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Walter Schwarz.

Judy is survived by her daughter; Robin Reeves Baker (Jim), son; Charlie Reeves, granddaughters; Lauren Reeves, Carley Hernandez (Aaron), Devan Etheredge (Mason), and a grandson; Mills Baker (Katie). great-granddaughter; Charleigh Jacobs, great-grandson; William Good, great-granddaughter; Reagan Etheredge, great- granddaughter; Isla Hernandez, sister; Nancy Palmieri (Ronald) and brother; Mark Sauer (Rosanne). She also leaves behind three brothers-in-law; John (Charlene) Reeves, Mike (Leslee) Reeves and Randall Reeves. In addition, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Porter Loring North Mortuary.

Interment will follow in Helotes Lutheran Cemetery #1. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research or you can mail a donation to TJHS Lasso Alumni Association PO Box 690184, San Antonio, TX 78260. (www.lassos.org), Make check payable to TJHS Lasso Alumni Association with notation that it Honors Judy Reeves- Class of 58. Pallbearers will be Jim Baker, Mills Baker, Mason Etheredge, Aaron Hernandez, Mark Saucer, Ronald Palmieri, John Reeves, and Mike Reeves.
