Judy Ann Carver, age 74, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. The oldest of five children, she was born to Mary Olive “Olive” Fore and Zephrea Verdell “Verdell” Cloud on October 19, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Judy married the love of her life, Roy Dwayne Carver, on November 29, 1968 at the age of 20 in St. Louis, MO. In 1980, they moved their family to San Antonio, Texas for Roy’s job on the railroad where they have lived and called home ever since.
Judy’s greatest joy was taking care of others, which she did as a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and foster care mother to hundreds of children. In recent years, she decided to put these skills to use for the good of her community by joining the board of her neighborhood association—a job she took great pride in.
She was preceded in death by her mother Olive and father Verdell.
