Jules A. Cappelli was born in San Antonio, TX on May 22, 1922 to Andrew and Josephine Cordona Cappelli, and entered eternal rest on July 30, 2015. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3345 for 63 years where he was a past Grand Knight and Navigator of Assembly 1102. Jules was a personal assistant to Archbishop Patrick Flores for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Andrew and Joseph A. Cappelli; sister, Mary J. Cappelli. Surviving are his nieces, Janie Barborka, Shirley Ann Abate, Esther Cappelli and nephews, John A. Cappelli, Jr. and C. Richard Cappelli.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 125 W. Whittier San Antonio, TX 78210. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
