Jules C. Farmer

Jules C Farmer was born 01/04/1944 to Minnie Linville and Jules L Farmer in Harlan County, Kentucky and peacefully passed away on 04/01/2013 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, Battle Creek, Michigan in 1962. Jules C Farmer enlisted in the United States Air Force in May of 1965 and served with honor, retiring as a Master Sergeant with over 21 years active duty service in May 1987. While on active duty, Jules served as an Air Force Master Instructor in the secure electronics communications career field. He earned the United States Air Force Commendation Medal and numerous other awards and distinctions. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Jules returned to college to earn a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University in 1990. Jules began a second career of service as a civil servant for the United States Air Force in the Air Education and Training Command where he again earned numerous awards to include the Secure Communications Systems Instructor of the Year. Jules also served in the Baptist Church as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher ministering at churches in Central America, Massachusetts and the San Antonio area. Jules is survived by his spouse of over 43 years Glenda Kaye Morriss Farmer, son Jules M Farmer of Richardson, TX, daughter Brandi M Farmer of San Antonio, TX, sister Thelma “Pat” Mullins of Virginia Beach, VA, brothers Terry and David Farmer of Battle Creek, MI, brother Gary Farmer of Springfield, MI, mother-in-law Barbara Morriss of San Antonio, TX, brother-in-law Larry Morriss of New Braunfels, TX, seven beautiful and loving grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Air Force military honors.
