Julia Sue Bond was called home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2022 at the age of 82. She was born on May 21, 1939, to her parents, Lester Dainer Reynolds and Lottie Cecil Seitz, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Bond, her brothers and sisters; Yvonne Reynolds, Cecil Reynolds, J.T. Lancaster, Emily Washington, and James Lancaster.
Julia Sue is survived by her 3 children: Brian Frashier, Kathleen Peardot and Denise Frashier Angeletti; 6 grandchildren: Thomas Frashier, Daniel Frashier, Kelli Flanagan, Kevin Flanagan, Sienna Angeletti, and Rhys Angeletti; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, her caregivers, and dear friends. She is also survived by her past husband and father of her children, Gary Frashier of Boerne, Texas.
Known as "Sue" to many and "Julia" to others, our loved one was a wife, a mother, an Aunt, a sister, a neighbor, a friend, and loved being a grandmother named "Granny Sue." She worked for many years as a Manager at Silly Seals daycare in Houston, Texas, where she was also called Granny Sue by the many children attending the daycare. Every week, she assembled craft kits to put together with the children. She also liked for people to feel welcome in her home. To be able to put down their worries, to be themselves, and feel at home.
She was in love with life, laughter, adventure, spending time with family and friends, and bringing out the creativity in herself and others. She lived life in vibrant color. She loved animals, especially her dog Molly, and feeding the birds. She loved nurturing plants, celebrating holidays, and finding something great in an ordinary day. Julie Sue believed, as did her mother, Lottie, that a visit from a Cardinal in the yard, was a visit from "an angel." She also delighted in getting visits from the same owl, year after year.
She knew, and passed on the knowledge that the little things in life were the important things. She had a passion for cooking, a talent for creating crafts and decorations, and gave them away at every opportunity. Bringing a smile to others, being there to listen, and knowing when not to take things too seriously, was her gift. She was extraordinarily resilient, and was able to overcome the difficulties encountered in life, through having faith in the Lord and an endless sense of optimism. Julia Sue was devoted to the Holy Spirit, and believed, as did her Native American ancestors, in the connection of all things, on Earth and in the Heavens. She expressed often, the conviction that though one day our bodies will depart, our souls will forever remain to guide our loved ones, never more than a thought away. She is deeply loved and missed, and it is a source of great comfort knowing that she exists in our memories, in our hearts, and in spirit. Julia Sue has gained her Angel wings.
