Julia Reyes-Saldana

Julia was born on June 21, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, to Domingo Lucio Reyes Sr. and Julieta Castillo Reyes. She later married the love of her life, Santiago Saldana Belmarez, on March 30, 2019, in San Antonio. Julia spent many years working in the healthcare field, where her caring heart and gentle spirit made a difference in so many lives. She will be remembered for the love, laughter, and warmth she shared with everyone around her.

Julia was welcomed in heaven by her parents, Domingo Lucio Reyes Sr. and Julieta Castillo Reyes; her beloved daughter Vivan Reyes; and her grandson, Alejandro D. Austin.

Julia is lovingly survived by her husband Santiago Saldana Belmarez; her children Steve Reyes, Gabriel Reyes, Elizabeth Austin, Desiree Reyes, Robert Reyes, Fernando Jr., and Sernia; her brother Domingo Lucio Reyes Jr.; and her sister Gloria Guzman. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Steve Jr., Nathan, Elijah “Monster”, Robert Jr., Jeremiah, Julian “Juju”, Jovani “Jio”, Nicholas “Niko”, Johnandrew “El Juanio”, Savannah, Julieta “Leta”, Azalea, Gabby, and Ella. Julia also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren Alejandro D. Austin Jr. and Annisabella Austin, Xavier, and Natalia Cortez, and Nancy and Nester Reyes. She will live on in their hearts and memories forever.

Julia’s love and devotion to her family were at the heart of her life. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-children, and all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Sunday November 16, 2025 with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at (Sunset Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218).

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218). Burial will follow at the same Venue Sunset Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m..
