Julia Skalski Zaiontz

Julia was born on June 5, 1932, in Adkins, Texas, to Joseph and Hedwig Hudek Skalski. She was raised with strong faith, family values, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life that she carried with her throughout her years.

She was the beloved wife of Benjamin Zaiontz, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Julia is survived by, her daughters, Cynthia Rice, Frances Sibbitt, Emily Harbit, and Margaret Zaiontz; her grandchildren, Candice Green, Dyan Rice, Christopher Thomas, Angelica Montfort, Lauren Wood, John Paul Sibbitt, Sarah Proctor, Matthew Weston, Michael Weston, Stephen Weston, Joshua Gonzalez, Zachary Gonzalez, and Julie Ann Gonzalez; also fourteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Holub and Carolyn Fowler; and brother, Joe Skalski.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benjamin Zaiontz; her parents, Joseph and Hedwig Skalski; and her grandson, Tom Green.

Julia will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her strength, kindness, faith, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and loved.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Julia's life during visitation on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 14011 FM 1346, St. Hedwig, Texas 78152. Interment will follow at Saint Hedwig Cemetery.

There will be a Funeral procession at 9:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, if you wish to join us.

Pallbearers: Christopher Thomas, Matthew Weston, Michael Weston, Stephen Weston, Joshua Gonzalez and Zachary Gonzalez. Honorary Pallbearer, John Paul Sibbitt.
