Julian S. Amols of San Antonio, died March 12, 2002. He was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to San Antonio in 1938 where he married Hortense Adler the same year. He performed in show business in vaudeville during the 1930's and worked in Civil Service during WWII and later was in the liquor business. He operated his own private business Amols Wholesale, for over forty years. He was active in the Shrine Clown unit and made visits to the burn units of many hospitals across the state. He loved participating in parades. He was preceeded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Hortense; he is survived by his son, Steven Amols and his wife, Beth of San Antonio; daughter, Dorothy Jo Weiss and her husband, Robert of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
