I am the husband of the deceased Herlinda B. Martinez and have six children; Julian B. Martinez Jr., Gloria Castillo, Abel B. Martinez, Yolanda Tristan, Richard B. Martinez and Larry B. Martinez.
I have thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
I graduated from Lanier High School. I proudly served the Army from November 4, 1941 December 4, 1945. During my time in the military, I fought bravely in World War II, as a Tech 5.
I worked for Coca-Cola for 45 years before retiring to my home in San Antonio.
I died peacefully, surrounded by my family on October 22, 2008.
