Juliet Elia Morales

1940-2017

Juliet Elia Escamilla Morales, age 76, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was born in Hondo, Texas on September 29, 1940. While Juliet worked occasionally, her greatest joy in life was being a mom to her two daughters. She enjoyed hosting gatherings at her home with family and friends and was an avid bingo player.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Isabel Escamilla, her brothers, Julio, Fidencio, Juan, and Efrain and her sister, Sofia. Juliet is survived by her husband of 45 years, Vicente G. Morales, Sr.; children, Yvonne M. McCormick and husband William, Elaine M. Edson and husband Gregg; grandchildren, Christian, Stephen, Nathan, Connor, Colin, and Robert; and siblings, Cleotilde, Ayda Lydia, Oscar, and Belia. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78238, on Tuesday, January 17th, from 6-9PM with a Rosary at 7PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM, on Wednesday, January 18th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
