Born on August 11, 2007, to Sarah Jane Hernandez, Alex was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. His light touched everyone who knew him, and his joyful spirit will be remembered forever.
Alex had a deep love for water—whether it was bathtime, a fun day at the pool, or his absolute favorite, visiting the beach. He also loved car rides, especially when hitting switches. He'd be smiling, laughing and filled with joy as the car would bounce up and down, Alex also enjoyed outings with his family, especially with his favorite song, "Beat This Summer" by Brad Paisley, playing in the background. One of his greatest joys was watching SpongeBob SquarePants, particularly singing along to the iconic theme song, which always made him smile.
Alex is now reunited in Heaven with those who went before him: his great-grandmothers Kina Ugarte, Janie Jimenez, and Blanca Hernandez; his great-grandfathers Alejandro Jimenez and Juan Hernandez; his uncle David McCoy; cousin Jennifer Jimenez; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His memory will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Sarah Jane Hernandez, and his father, Narciso Vasquez; his siblings, Jaden and Envy Vasquez; his grandparents Jo Ann Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Beatriz Naranjo, and Abran Naranjo; and many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who loved him dearly.
Alex defeated all odds in his short life, and his smile, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His life, though brief, was filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments that will never fade.
