June Wilcox Hedges

June was an early scholar graduating from Kalamazoo College Summa Cum Laude at the age of 20. She went on to be one of the first women hired in the accounting department of Upjohn Chemical Co. Always an over achiever, June served in many volunteer capacities and as president of the many organizations supporting her husband's career. She continued her intellectual pursuit by serving as President of the American Association of University Women.

June always stressed the value of education and being well read. Her smile and encouragement will be missed by her children, Paul Hedges Susie, Patricia Houston Reagan, Ward Hedges, her five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. The family wishes to express its appreciation to her companion and caregiver, Lupita Cerda as well as the staff of Incarnate Word Extended Care.
