Justin was born September 7, 1982, in Jacksonville, Arkansas to Julia Valderas and Stephen J. Murphy. He graduated high school in 2000 from Mountain Home, Idaho. Justin enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Fire Protection Apprentice and served one year and seven months in the military. He attended basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas and then attended Louis Garland Fire Academy at Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas. He was stationed at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras and Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.
Justin was raised as a military child, so he experienced life in various parts of the world which included Arkansas, Texas, Guam, Montana, Louisiana, Idaho and Colorado, where he enlisted in the military.
He held numerous jobs throughout his life and the best one he enjoyed was being a truck driver. Even though he didn’t drive over-the-road for a long period of time, he did enjoy driving the big rigs. His love for big trucks may have started when he was about 10 years old when he took a ride on a big rig delivering mail in Montana. This is also about the same time he chose to be a Philadelphia EAGLES football fan. He loved watching the Eagles play every year. He was a fan for life. His stepdad, Fred Schoettler, taught him how to fish and bird hunt when he was young, while living in Montana. Justin enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Justin is survived by his mother Julia Valderas and his stepsister Jenny (Scott) Symonds. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
