

Juvencio “Wenchie” Lopez, Jr., 70, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on May 7, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on March 17, 1955, in Alamo, TX, Juvencio Jr. was the son of Juvencio and Teodora Lopez, both of whom preceded him in death. His brother, David Lopez, also preceded him in passing.
Known affectionately by friends and family alike as “Wenchie” or “Juvy”, Juvencio lived a full life marked by goodwill. With a career in construction that led him to work around the world, Wenchie forged lasting friendships and relationships, enriching the lives of the many neighbors and companions he met on his journeys. He will be greatly missed.
Though he traveled extensively, Wenchie had a profound love for his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Genevieve Ridolfo, son-in-law, James. Also, surviving him is his son, Ian Theodore Lopez and daughter-in-law, Lorena. His grandchildren are Ian Lopez, Bianca Lopez, Yasmin Ridolfo and Damian Lopez. Also continuing his legacy, are his great-grandsons, Ian Isaiah and Arian Alexander Lopez.
In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Rumaldo (Thelma) Lopez, Magdalena Mendoza and Homer (Raquel) Lopez. Two nephews, Steven A. Lopez and Mikel (Juliet) Mendoza. Two great-grandnephews, Aiden Lafayette and Mikey Mendoza and one great-grandniece, Noelle Lopez.
A private remembrance will take place at a later time.
