Kameron Ray-Michael Anderson, aged 27, passed away on July 3, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 20, 1996, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to parents, Theresa Harrington Anderson and Harold Anderson.
Kameron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mickie Waldron, Edward Harrington, and John Waldron; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Valeria Anderson; and his uncle, Buddy Anderson. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving parents, Theresa Harrington Anderson and Harold Anderson; his sisters, Kaitlyn and Kasani Anderson; his adored nephew, Andre Johnson; his step-mom, Ursula Anderson; his step-brother, Mariano Sanchez; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kameron was affectionately known as King Kam. He was the ruler of the house, and we were here to serve his needs. Kam moved to San Antonio in 2001 at the age of four attending five different NEISD schools during his younger years. He was “drafted” by the principal and became the first exceptional needs child in a wheelchair to attend Canyon Ridge ES in its opening year. At Bush middle school, he participated in girls’ choir; two things King Kam loved; music and girls. He also participated in Special Olympics and bowling. At Reagan high school, they continued to provide an inclusive environment so Kam could enjoy his school days. When Kam was a sophomore, it was determined that he would discontinue going to school due to his compromised health.
King Kam lived a beautiful life and was extremely fortunate to have gone to Disney World twice, Myrtle Beach and Padre Island. Kam had a way of bringing people together and those that had the privilege of meeting him were drawn to his non-verbal charm, smile and contagious laugh. Kam defied medical literature and would have medical professionals scratching their heads all the way to the end. Kam’s resilience, strength and determination got his family through tough times.
He will always be remembered as a fighter and not being ready to ever give up!
The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
