Karen Fillmore Boardman

Karen Fillmore Boardman, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on October 23, 2021 at age 77. Karen was born on March 9, 1944 in Chicago, IL and moved to San Antonio, Texas with her family at age six. Karen married David Boardman, June 17, 1967 at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in San Antonio, Texas. Their family was stationed in Austin, Texas, Wiesbaden, Germany and finally San Antonio, Texas before David retired from the Air Force. Karen and Dave were married for 54 years and were blessed with three daughters, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William Burton Fillmore and Dorothy May Aiken Fillmore, and her three siblings Jerre Fillmore, Jo Ann Jacoby, and Keith Fillmore. Karen is survived by her husband, David Boardman; daughters Suzanne Willette (Paul), Darlene Boardman (Andy Walker); Jennifer Ours (Ron); grandchildren Hayden Decker, Ryan and Jacob Willette, Dylan and Ashlee Ours; and great granddaughter Haylee Decker, as well as many cousins, nieces & nephews. There will be a reception following each of the services at the home of David Boardman & The Willette Family at 13703 Windy Creek, Helotes, Texas 78023.
