Karen Carew, age 70, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on November 27, 1945. She was the only child of Andrew Maryavi and Grace Strott Maryavi.
A beautiful, kind and caring woman, Karen is survived by, her husband, Col. Vernon (Jack) Wold, US Army (Ret.), friends and cousins.
Karen retired as a Manager of Finance and Personnel at the Army Residential Community after 24 years. She loved the game of tennis and was quite an accomplished player.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ARC Golden Kiwanis Foundation, Inc. for scholarships in her honor.
The visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12th at Porter Loring McCullough.
