Karen "Kay" Russell

Karen Lee Brooks Russell, at age 73, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 13, 2012. She was a devoted and an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was also a retired hairdresser and art instructor.

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Jack H. Russell, U.S. Army Sgt. Major (Retired). She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Lori Russell of Garden Ridge Texas, Jon and Liz Russell of Somerset Texas, Jeff and Kay Russell of Marion Texas and her daughters and sons-in-law, Misty Pace and Mike Liedecke of San Antonio Texas and Marta and Adolfo Powell-Arellano of San Antonio Texas. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Brandall, Amber, Sarah, Joshua, Tristan, Megan, Stormy, Cierra, Chris, Reghan, Lauren, Jazmine and Andrew. She also has two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Ellieana. She is also survived by her brothers, Edward (Skip) and Ann Brooks of De Pere Wisconsin and James Brooks of Sarasota Florida and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Bethany United Methodist Church at 4102 Eisenhauer Road, San Antonio, Texas 78218. A memorial service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church to honor and celebrate her life on Monday, October 22, 2012, at 10:00 AM.
