Katherine E. Hayes, age 86, passed away September 14, 2013. She was born on June 25, 1927 in Stephenville, TX to Fred and Vera Riley. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Lynn Gallivan, Georgianna Ackroyd and Elisa Katherine Fischer; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Esther Kring. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A funeral rosary will be at 10:00 A.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Road to follow with a funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 19, 2013 with Rev. Msgr. Patrick Cronin officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. "Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all." Proverbs 31:29, KJV.
