

Kathryn Kolar Labatt passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 21, 1944, in Hallettsville, Texas to parents, Emma Rosenauer and Louis Leo Kolar. Kathryn graduated from Flatonia High School. She attended Incarnate Word College in San Antonio and received a bachelor’s degree in music.
In her younger years she was a member of the Junior League of San Antonio. She also loved music and was the music teacher at Alamo Heights Presbyterian Day School for several years, along with teaching private piano lessons. She had a love for Texas A&M football, visiting the family home in Flatonia, Christmas, and animals, usually caring for several dogs and cats at a time. Kathryn had a passion and knack for floral arrangements and decorating. During the holidays she would often have at least three Christmas trees and elaborate holiday displays throughout her home.
She is predeceased in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Labatt.
She is survived by her sister Diane Kolar; niece, Christine Steffano; son, Louis Labatt and his wife, Mary; grandchildren, Owen Labatt, Eleanor Labatt, and Emma Labatt.
