She was born in 1927 in Memphis, TN and grew up attending Bellview Baptist Church.
In high school she was an honor student and was recognized nationally for her accomplishments in typing and shorthand.
Mrs. Richardson started working with Southwestern Bell in Memphis at the age of sixteen and quickly moved up to supervisor. She attended Georgetown University in Kentucky. She had a long accounting career with many large companies including Sears and Southwestern Bell.
In San Antonio she continued her career with UTSA and as the bookkeeper at First Baptist Church where she worked for 17 years. Mrs. Richardson taught kindergarten and served with her husband and their family at the Baptist Children's Home on Highway 90 for a period of 12 years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leonard Richardson; daughter, Kathy Richardson Estrello and husband, Paul; sons, Steven Richardson and wife, Dana, and Stan Richardson and wife, Amy, all of San Antonio; grandchildren; Travis, Sarah, and Andrew.
