Kathryn Adele Stephenson

Mrs. Kathryn Adele (Harwood) Stephenson from Universal City, TX passed away peacefully in her sleep February 21, 2017. She went to see her Lord and Savior and be reunited with her loving husband Charles W. Stephenson who preceded her passing on April 12, 1988. Kathryn and Charles were married in 1946 for 42 years. Kathryn was born September 7, 1928 to Clay Harwood and Cleo Walker Harwood and grew up in Fairfield, Iowa.

She loved the Lord with all her heart and was singing his name and praying until the day she went to be with Him. She enjoyed her work as a Civil Service secretary/stenographer for 25 years. Visiting with friends, dancing, listening to Christian music, tending her flowers were other activities she enjoyed. She loved her family tremendously to whom she was always very generous in so many ways.

Kathryn is survived by 2 sisters, Beverly Streed and Carolyn Farmer; 3 children, Charlene Walmsley, Steve Stephenson, Kent Stephenson; son-in-law, Stephen Walmsley; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, March 9th , 6-8 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy with a Graveside Service Friday, March 10th at 11:00 am at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery.
