She was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey Peyton and Maude Medley Carr; brothers, Buford, Bailey, and Charles; sisters, Mary and Gladys; her husband, Merle May and grandson, Andy May.
She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kathy, Gregory and Kay, Howard and Wendy, Thomas and Sue May; grandchildren, Angela and Tom Morgan, Heather, Ryan, Dustin, Kayla, Sarah, Kendra, Peter and Renee, Anna and Will Stephens, Lindsay and Katherine May; great granddaughter, Isabelle Morgan, and a large, loving extended family.
She was born in MS, received her RN and practiced public health nursing, graduated from Baylor and attended postgraduate studies at the U of MN. She was an active member of Coker United Methodist Church, John Wesley Class and she mentored many women.
