Kelley was the most incredibly devoted wife and mom who took great pride in all her children's achievements, and was a loving daughter.
She challenged herself by setting her own expectations in everything she did. Something acceptable in her eyes would be immaculate to anyone else. Her heart and soul went into everything she did. Her ability to inspire others went beyond her art. Kelley had the ability to make a lasting impression on everyone she met. She defined what a free spirit is. Kelley was very giving to her community as an artist, painting various signs, games, cubbies, and other items for the school and her church, Coker United Methodist.
As a scenic artist she had over 25 feature films screen credits, working on films such as 'The Shawshank Redemption', 'Second Hand Lions', 'Michael', 'The Alamo', and her last film, 'Kings of Appleton'. She touched the lives of many other artists in her field, teaching her craft to many.
She is survived by her husband, Archie Hankins Jr.; 3 children, Audrey, Irene, and Archer Hankins; her loving parents Tony and Carole Collopy; 2 brothers, Tony Collopy and wife Martha, and Jeff Collopy and wife Christina; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made, in Kelley's name, to Coker United Methodist, 231 E. North Loop Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78216.
Due to the nature of the loss, friends of immediate family may send flowers to Tony and Carole.
