Kenneth Wade Appedole

Kenneth Wade Appedole passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on November 27, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1966. He furthered his education at Trinity University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Kenny spent the majority of his career in the automobile parking industry in San Antonio, managing garages and lots for the National Bank of Commerce and other prominent buildings across the city alongside his father and grandfather. He later served as the Parking Division Manager for the City of San Antonio until his retirement. Throughout his life, Kenny upheld a strong sense of integrity, honesty, and discipline, and he held everyone around him to those same high standards.

Kenny was quick-witted and full of humor, with an unwavering love for his family. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Barbie. Together, they spent many weekends fishing in the San Antonio Bay area, creating lasting memories with close friends and family. Kenny also had a true passion for gardening, particularly when it came to growing and sharing his delicious tomatoes. Influenced by his father's military service, Kenny developed a profound appreciation for world history, particularly focusing on World War II memorabilia and the stories surrounding that era.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade “Sonny” and Bernice "Kewpie" Appedole; and his sister, Carol Appedole. Kenny leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Chris Hutchison (Ron) and Amy Wise (Bill); five grandchildren, Hayden, Halle, and Hope Hutchison, Brackan and Braylee Wise, and his sister, Susan Brown.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
