He was born April 5, 1936, in Slaton, Texas, to the late Nick and Jessie Mae Carter.
He began a career in broadcasting in 1959, while in college. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, North Texas State in Denton and Arlington State in Ft. Worth.
In 1966, Kenneth came to San Antonio and worked with KONO now known as KSAT as a news anchor and KKYX radio for 11 years. Early in his career he also worked with George Carlin at KXOL in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Dr. Soo Bin Kim and wife, Monica, Michael Carter and wife, Sheila, Jennifer Carter-Diaz; grandchildren, Rachael and Matthew Carter, Melinda and Marcus Wunderlich, and Jared M. Kim.
