

Born in Floresville, Texas, he moved to San Antonio at the age of 1 year old. Kenneth was an outstanding athlete during his education in elementary, middle and high school, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1964. He later attended Southwest Texas State University, where he obtained an Industrial Arts Degree. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and later pursued a career selling chemicals and worked real estate. He was an educator for 30 years at John Jay High School teaching Welding to young adults and older adults, taught one year in Australia, and was named Teacher of Year Private Sectorby the American Welding Society. He was an extremely kind and patriotic man who enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle to various places. An excellent Country-Western dancer, that is how Kenneth met and then married the love of his life, Judith Lee, in 1987 and was married for thirty four years. He was very active in his community, including membership in Alzafar Shrine Hospital Corps,Unit where he was deeply committed to helping orthopedically handicapped and burn victims. Over the past fifteen years, Kenneth served as Treasurer of the American Welding Society, as well as a longtime Volunteer for NIOSA, Fiesta Commision, and Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. He was an officer for the NSARTA where he served as treasurer and his wife as president. Kenneth served as faithful member of Helotes Hills United Methodist Church for 30 years where he servered on the board and assisted in Sunday School classes and VBS, the annual Pumpkin Patch, Living Nativity, as well as vonlunteer work for the Helotes Cornyval for over twenty years. Church members knew him as a God Loving man who was always smiling and never said anything bad about anyone. Kenneth had a passion for hunting and fishing, and was a huge fan of the John Jay Mustangs, Spurs, and Cowboys. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who worked with him and knew him personally.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Jeanette Reed Lynn, father, Justin Porter Lynn of Floresville,Texas.
He is survived by the love of his life, Judy L. Lynn; Brother, Justin Wayne Lynn (Mary Jane); Cousin Freddie Lynn (Anita); Nephew, Christopher Ortego (Brenda), and Niece, Janice Dugger (John), and numerous cousins and nieces .
The family will receive guests on Monday January 4th 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary 1101 McCullough Avenue.
Service will be on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 am,at Porter Loring on McCullough.
