Kenneth L. Melton Sr.

Kenneth Lacey Melton, Sr passed away on December 19, 2019 at the age of 71 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in West Chester, PA to Stanford and Florence Cole Melton. Kenneth was also known in his younger years as Bopper. He attended school in West Chester graduating from Henderson High School before joining the Air Force serving in Vietnam. Kenneth met his wife, Emilia, while stationed in Panama they soon married in 1989. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and friend who adored his family and friends dearly. Kenneth never met a stranger; he had the biggest heart in the world he was always there for anyone who needed help. He was known as the one to go for guidance and advice. Kenneth will be greatly missed.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; son: Christopher “Happy” Melton; brother: Keith “Keeter” Melton; cousin: Marvin “Skip” Gallimore and friend: Glenn Hanna. He is survived by his loving wife: Emilia Melton; children: Belva, Nikki, Ann, Kenny, Peter; siblings: Patsy, Gus, Michele, Lamont; friends: David and Souki Carrol, Doug Daughtry, Clifford Angry, Wally Coleman, Richard Trowery, Silver Melton, and cousins Isabel Clark, Rick Clark and other family members and friends

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10:00am at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218.
