

Kenneth Lee Sanders Sr., lovingly known as "Kenny," was born on August 29, 1961, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He lived a life filled with music, laughter, creativity, and deep connection. Kenny proudly served in the United States Army from 1979 to 1982, carrying with him the discipline, strength, and loyalty that would shape the man he became.
Kenny was a gifted musician who played multiple instruments and even formed his own band. His love for music was matched only by his natural talent for comedy - a gift that made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him. Whether he was performing, joking, or simply lifting someone's spirits, Kenny had a way of bringing joy into every room he entered.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Lee Sr. and Mary Ellen Sanders, his bonus parents George "Tommy" Sanders and Bobbie Lee Sanders, along with his grandparents and a host of aunts and uncles.
Kenny held a special place in his heart for Diane Webster, a meaningful presence in his life. Kenny is survived by his children: Lachaundra Payne, Louisville, KY; Georgia Sanders, San Antonio, TX; Kenny Sanders Jr., San Antonio, TX. Kenny had a bonus daughter he cherished, Linda Raye-Lynn Walker, San Antonio, TX. Kenny was the proud grandpa to grandchildren: Alora Snow-Payne and Sir'Royal Rain-Payne.
He is also survived by his brothers Raymond Trotter, Greg Sanders, Michael Sanders, and Richard Sanders, and his sisters Barbara Nabors, Sharon Dixon, Gretta Sanders, and Patricia Sanders.
Kenny leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his humor, his music, his kindness, and the way he made everyone feel like family.
His life was a melody - full of rhythm, soul, and moments that will echo in the hearts of all who loved him.
