'I, too, was in the Mac Band with Kort. I remember his name being misspelled or mispronounce "Kurt" which I am certain occured throughout his life! Since we both stayed in San Antonio for most of our adult years, I would run into him every so often, usually when he was on the stage playing. I would also run into him at business trade shows, and at the company he was with (I was a sales rep, and called on is company occassionally)

I did not know Cort personally, but I knew his mother, Jody Ogden, well from her volunteer work at The Institute of Texan Cultures. She was such a fine person, so it's no surprise to read that Kort was a great guy, too. There was always great love in her voice when Jody spoke of her son. May they rest in peace.'

Kort always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He was always willing to lend a hand and was a gentleman. I remember when he and Sandi were dating and then married. They shared a loving and caring relationship together. I will always have fond memories of you. In the words of Eric Clapton whom we all went to see in concert, " Beyond the door, there is peace I'm sure, and I know there"ll be no more tears in heaven."'

'Kort and I played in the Mac band in the late 60's.We had some fine talent there at the time with Kort, Steve Spencer, Brian Taylor, and others. I remember when he first took up bass guitar and occasionally we jammed in my garage afer school. Even just starting out you could hear the talent he had.I regret that I lost touch with Kort and many others after finishing high school. My heart goes out to his family and friends.Rest in peace.

'I cannot be there for the service, sadly I'm detained on Colorado. Kort was my best friend. We shared many adventures & good times together and clicked as soul mates on & off the stage.
