

Kristen Nicole Johnson rose up to heaven on June 23, 2024. Kristen was loved fiercely and returned her love to all who knew her. Known as “Nikki” to most, and also went by “KK”. Nikki was born on January 15th, 2000 in San Antonio, TX to Jason Johnson and Jessica Mabs Johnson. She passed away on June 23, 2024, in Kyle, TX.
Nikki graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio in 2018. In her Sophomore year she met Seth Martinez, who became the love of her life until the end. Throughout her four years of high school, she performed and competed on the Color Guard Team. She earned membership in the National Technical Society and was an officer of the National Science Honor Society. Throughout high school, she volunteered hundreds of hours in the hospital and at a summer camp for special needs children. She then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration from Texas State University. During her college years she served a term as president of her sorority, Sigma Phi Lambda. She worked as Volunteer Coordinator for Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills and then most recently, as the account manager for Capital Electric.
Nikki had a fearless love of life. She and Seth loved traveling. They explored Zion National Park, visited Marfa, California, and many other places. She ran a half marathon with her girlfriends in the Grand Tetons National Park, and was preparing for a full marathon. Nikki was a Folklorico dancer and an accomplished artist in drawing, painting, crochet and sewing. She was a leader and an entrepreneur owning her own business, “Neat Nikki”. Two of her greatest loves were house plants and coffee.
She was a loyal, loving, kind, and compassionate daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Nikki is survived by her parents Jessica Mabs Johnson, Jason Johnson and Debbie Garza-Johnson, life love Seth Martinez, grandparents Margie and John Tondre, Aunt Terri, Uncle Matt, Aunt Jodie and Uncle Karl, cousins Maggie, Ryan, Katie, JP, Lauren, and Kelsey and step sisters, Emily and Sylvia.
Nikki is preceded in death by her grandparents Stephanie and Philip Johnson.
